Regardless of what genre the headlining act was on their past tours, Pvris was able to stand out and make an impression on the generally young crowds. They have opened up for poppy bands like The Maine and, most recently, they opened up for metalcore act Bring Me The Horizon. The music of PVRIS is extremely unique in a way that makes them fit on every sort of line-up. Surprisingly their very early single ‘Hospital’ was included on the set, because that original recording featured guest vocalists Aaron Marsh, of Copeland fame.

Their music was much more mellow than that of Pvris' but still full of energy.Īlthough the band released Run Wild in 2015, as you can see from their setlist, only a few songs from that self-confessed ‚Äòdark album‚Äô were played, including ‚ÄòRiverman‚Äô and set closer ‚ÄòWhen It Gets Dark Out‚Äô. Singer Leighton Antelman still had his extremely distinctive voice but the music seemed to have matured since the early 2000's. Lydia announced a hiatus in 2010 but returned a short year later. They toured with bands such as Saves the Day, Armor for Sleep, and so many other bands from the genre. Lydia was one of the quintessential emo/pop bands to come out in the early 2000's. We previously caught Cruisr in May 2016 and wrote, “The show was opened by Cruisr, an indie pop band from Philadelphia even though their music made it sound like they are from California.”
Indigo Girls' Emily Saliers recently announced her first ever solo record on PledgeMusic.

Weeknights plus zero degree weather can really kill the music-watching spirit, but those who braved the elements last night were treated to a spectacular set from Atlanta-native singer and songwriter Hogan and her excellent back-up band of Nora O’Connor, Casey McDonough and drummer Gerald Dowd. We saw Kelly Hogan in 2013 when we mentioned that ““I know it’s a school night,” Kelly Hogan joked to a very enthusiastic Turf Club crowd before thanking everyone for coming out to the show. Show up early to check out Chicago-based supergroup The Flat Five, featuring Kelly Hogan, Nora O’Connor, Scott Ligon, Casey McDonough, Alex Hall. Matt is also the singer for the incredibly popular local group Trip Shakespeare. We previously caught the band and mentioned that Matt Wilson, is, in fact, Dan Wilson’s brother. The Twilight Hours (Matt Wilson and John Munson) is playing a sold-out show at the Turf Club this Friday, December 9th.
